Safety Stock Automation

Dears,

This claims the new features in R24, however I have no idea why this enhancement can be developed differently from the point of view of years of production planning background like me. Appreciate any of your feedback!

The ERP system (BPCS) I used in 1992 provided the logic of auto-calculating the safety stock, and it was called DFC (Days Forward Coverage) by item.

30 years later the newly announced R24 the "Safety Stock Days of Demand" is the processing option of R3425, so there is no way to give the different coverage by item which is a very common need in the production planning field.
