Alabama OT Exemption - Is it possible to use existing Earnings Codes?
Since 95% of the overtime that we pay in Alabama follows the same guidelines as the exemption - worked greater than 40 - we were going to create new earnings codes for the small population that receives overtime that is not exempt.
Testing shows that everything will calculate correctly. I'm wondering if this strategy will backfire when we receive the new delivered reporting for 2024.
Has anyone else had this thought process?
