Using Product line field on User general info tab

Hello

We have Agile PLM 9.3.6 and I have a question about how to use the "Product line" field that is located on the "Users" general info tab to limit access to specific product lines. I understand how to setup discovery and read criteria, privileges, roles and user groups to limit access based on a Page 2 field that would be on items, Changes, PSRs and QCRs. We do have product lines associated with all these objects. However, that's a lot of work because we have many product lines and users. Can the User product line field be used to make
