Purge Transactional Data on Cloned Instance (EBS R12.1.3)

Hi,

How can we delete all transactional data (such as GL, AP, AR, FA modules in EBS R12.1.3) after cloning from PROD? Our objective is to preserve only the setup level and master data in our application. 

I attempted to submit the "New Archive and Purge" process, but it has been running for over 20 days without completing. Is it possible to use SQL to delete the transactional data instead? Please advise. Thank you.
