BI Publisher: How to implement bar codes

I'm creating a label report with bar codes I'm using the 3of9 barcode font, the barcode appears in the local editing of the layout in Word (RTF) when uploading to BIP and running the report I see the text instead of the barcode, I have checked the font mapping and the Default BC 3of9 maps to the B39R00.ttf font for RTF and PDF
