Does modifying the label name of an artifact affect its behavior during EPM patch updates?

Does modifying the label name of an artifact affect its behavior during EPM patch updates?

We arent directly modifying the artifacts, instead another object called as 'Artifact Labels' (we can classify artifact name as - technical name)

example: there is a rule called as OWP_Rollup Cube

but the label name is Rollup Workforce --- so here, its make easy for business user to understand the functionality of the rule.
