Record visibility in Workflow irrespective of the BusComp viewMode

Hi,

Recently we ran into a scenario where Owner field on the service request became empty/null and the visibility of the record was off the screen.

There is no way for us to restore the visibility from the UI, have to update from the backend to get the visibility back.

On the other end Escl_req table got piled up and we ended up getting thousands of email alerts as the WF was erroring out at an echo step based on BC record when visibility is already off.

In short I would like to know how to override the visibility as an admin from Workflow so it wont fail and how can we restore it from the UI.
