My SL8500 library lost communication with all of its tape drives

I have an SL8500 tape library with 10 T10000C drives and 10 T10000D drives. All of those tape drives have lost communication with the library. The robots, CAPs and pass-through ports appear to be fine. What is likely the cause of this problem?
