How can the Source Filter: Effective Date be dynamically updated everyday?

EPBCS Data Integration - 

We have a direct integration setup between source system and EPBCS to pull salary data. This needs to be automated to run everyday to pull the latest salary data as per the current date.

The Effective Date under Source Filters needs to be dynamically updated everyday. Is this achievable through EPM Automate by passing Effective Date as a parameter?

Is there any groovy script using REST API to achieve this?
