SO order didn't go on C1 hold

SO order created with Order date as today date and Request date as Future date. It dint go on C1 hold even though the amount is greater than credit limit.

When I check the sales order header table F4201 there is no amount in OTOT field. Can anyone tell me when this field will not get updated??

If this field is blank, will the system perform credit check?
