Buyer's Workbench ID's: Can they be deleted?

We are on PeopleSoft 9.2 PUM 41.

User are creating a new Buyer's Workbench ID every time they want to close a PO. Now there are hundreds of ID's. Is there a way to safely delete these. Related question, is there a reason to not reuse the ID's?
