Amex account and Oracle OU with different currencies

We're on 12.2.10 and are using the standard Amex credit card integration with iExpense. We have 1 new OU where the functional currency is USD and the Amex account is in EUR. Are we able to use the integration for this account? I'm not sure if the Amex data says that it's EUR. I kind of remember when we implemented it years ago seeing something about Oracle expecting it to be in the functional currency. All are other OU's have the same currencies so this is a new scenario for us.
