Stand by Database.

One disk is missing in the server which is already mounted to the ASM disk group, and ASM started with error.

When adding the disk to standby there were no errors and sync is happening via data guard. After that, some errors occurred in the disk, and the server shut down abnormally. After starting up the server the added ASM disk was missing and a new disk was added with a different name.

Now when trying to start ASM error is shown as


SQL> startup

ASM instance started


Total System Global Area 283930624 bytes

Fixed Size         2210328 bytes
