management of support schemas

I really wasnt sure where this question should go because I dont know if there is a true right answer but interested to see how others handle these.

We have some "support" schemas that analyst use to analyze data of the applications, aka if support schema dropped app would function as designed. They have been around long before I joined the team and would like to get these under control.

We implemented a policy that the application schemas cannot have any privileges on those objects. When I say application schema I mean, if that schema is dropped the web app would break, and/or Stakeholders angry.
