GI Installer takes a long time for "Discovering the disks..."

Hello experts.

Environment

AIX 7.3 (7300-01-02-2319)

GI 19.3

Symptoms

  • During installation GI Installer takes a long time (about 15 min.) for disk discovering. Please see screen record at attached zip.
  • After installation is completed "asmca" utility also takes long time for this operation.
  • The "crsctl start has" does not brings up ASM instance (all diskgroups and asm resources are OFFLINE, although TARGET is ONLINE )
  • Manual instance startup via sqlplus hangs too
  • At ASM alert log file we see "DIA0 Critical Database Process As Root .... OS_PROCESS_PID" where OS_PROCESS_PID belongs to "asm_rbal"


Successfully applied PSU 19.20:

No changes.
