Compare 2 .xer in OPC

OPC has a great baseline and scenario function for comparing a schedule over time within one project. However, when working with .xer files produced by others it seems impossible to compare iterations since baselines can not be completed across projects and because within a project a new .xer cannot be uploaded as a baseline.
