Per Doc ID 1303186.1, defaulting logic Material status flow shows Serialized item cannot have status

Oracle Inventory Management - Version 12.2.x

As per doci id 1303186.1, the defaulting logic of Material staus shows that if Item is Serial controlled it cannot have status. Does that mean Material status functionality does not work items that are serialized.

We have enabled WMS for the new inventory org and trying to enable material status at LPN level, but it is not working for items that are serial controlled.
