Form extension not updated in grid in add mode

Jd Edwards tools release 9.2.5.3


I have created a form extension for the Quality form p3711 it does not save the column I added in add mode when data has been entered into the column and saved. It does update the column in update mode. Is this a bug? I tried selecting add mode in the form extension it didn't work.
