Database migration from version 12c to 19c using GG

We are migrating our production database from source Oracle database 12c on windows server 2012 R2, to target Oracle database 19c on windows server 2019.

We need to migrate 2 schemas. About 600 GB.

We need a minimum downtime.

Is it possible to do it with OGG?

I remark that the source DB is already a OGG source of a Live reporting configuration running OGG 12.1.2.1.0 with a target 12c db.

The new 19c database have an installation of OGG 19c.


1) About the migration: Is it possible to have the Oracle 19c database as an OGG target for the OGG 12c source database? running together with the current 12c extract? or we should install OGG 19c on the source side 12c ?
