Deferred Revenue - Revenue Accounting Manager - Revenue Contingencies

I have created a deferred revenue invoice accounting rule (name = Milestone) and am using the 'Pay in Advance' accounting rule. I have also created a revenue contingency rule to prevent revenue recognition until customer acceptance for invoices using the 'Pay in Advance' accounting rule. The revenue accounting of the invoice lines that do not require customer acceptance are not adjusted unless I use the Revenue Accounting Manager. Must I use RAM to manage revenue for all deferred revenue lines that use an accounting and invoice rule?
