Duplicate Tag Number - asset is disposed

Asset Management - Image 40. PT 8.59

We have selected the option to not allow duplicate tag numbers. When assets are retired, the tag number is recycled and assigned to the replacement asset.

The system is preventing the tag number from being assigned to the new asset because it is a duplicate tag number. Is there a configuration option to ignore disposed assets when checking for duplicate tag number?
