Since the development of a query SC_CNTRCT_RLS_VARIANCE to proactively identify incorrect contract release amounts, we've updated 8 incorrect contract releases in seven months. We are unable to replicate; we are unable determine the cause.  The fix is a SQL Update to CNTRCT.AMT_LINE_RELEASED 

Our local SR history: 

During Image 48 testing we encountered a "Negative category released amounts captured on the contract" warning message on a PO that was copied from another PO and modified. Our tester clicked the OK button which allowed a $100,00 maximum amount procurement contract to permanently record a negative release amount of -30,450 and resulting in a contract remaining amount of $130,450.
