Revalue Assets due to Acquistion
This may not be the appropriate forum, but I need some some assistance or suggestions on how to handle a particular situation. Our company uses Oracle EBS and the Oracle Fixed Assets subledger (Release 12.2.10).
We are in the process of being acquired by another Company. The acquiring company will be reviewing our assets, and will provide us with a 1.) Fair Market Value to record for some of the assets, 2.) Some others they will want to keep at current book value and, 3.) They will provide us with their remaining Useful lives to use. Of course with the acquisition the existing depreciation will need to go away on the assets they for the new company, but will remain in Oracle EBS. We will continue to use our Oracle Fixed Assets
