Virtual ASM disk from OLVM storage domain

We have installed an virtual database server in an OLVM soluition..

If we add ASM devices from an OLVM Storage domain (virtual disk devices), will that be an oracle supported solution ? or does ASM disks need to be physical LUN'S ?
