Creating a new data source for total rewards statement

Hello,

Has anyone created a new data source for their total rewards statements? We would like to create a reward item for our flexible spending accounts, however since the amounts are neither recorded as earnings or deductions I believe we would need a new data source to pull information from the FSA tables.

Wondering if anyone has done something similar, and has any advice on best practice for creating new data sources.
