ASM has nothing in it after RHEL upgrade.

Hi all,

Trying to upgrade RHEL 7.9 to RHEL 8.9 on DB server with Oracle GI 19.20.0.0.230718.  No RAC. ASM starts but has no data in it; No +DATA root directory. All was working before the OS upgrade. Kernal version after upgrade is 4.18.0-425.19.2.el8_7.x86_64. Anybody have an idea what I missed?

I'm suspecting a permission issue on the ASM disks but not sure.
