OL 8 or 9 for Production Database?

Hello,

For new Oracle production single instance databases (with a Data Guard stand by), has the industry standard moved to OEL9 OL9 yet or is it better to stay with OEL8 OL8 in 2024?

I am asking this intentionally in the DBA group to get a well vetted response.
