Support of sips in SD6300 SCZ-8.3.0

According to the documentation sips uri-scheme is supposed to be suppoted by SD6300 SCZ-8.3.0. However, upon receiving INVITE request with req-uri and To-uri with sips:, our SBC answers with 416 Unsupported URI Scheme. Is there anything in the configuration to overcome this problem? Has anybody found this problem and was the only solution to use an HMR to transform sips to sip uri-scheme?
