Leave without Pay not reducing from Normal pay

JDE E1 9.2 - Salaried employees and auto pay for 80hr per fortnight. When enter LWOP Pay Type for 30hrs expect 50hrs x $10 = Gross of $500 and 30 x $0 = no PTD value - expecting Gross and Taxable Gross to be $500 due to LWOP.

Is not reducing hrs - have adjusted the Auto Pay method to N and Effect on Gross /Net to be '-' as per Oracle documentation and is not calculating as expected. Have tried Y and S options also, and changed Effect on Gross /Net to be '-' or 'blank'. Get varying results but none give me the outcome required. What is the correct combination of data in these fields.
