Racked ZFS Storage Appliance - ZS9-2 - Clustered Controllers

Hello

I am trying to setup a new racked zfs storage appliance zs9-2 clustered controllers. Below components are found in the rack:

1) 2 x 100gb cisco nexus switches with ports 34 and 35 interconnect

2) 2 x ZS9-2 controllers + 1 storage shelf

The controllers are connected to the cisco switch on ports 1 and 2

I am following below documents to do the initial setup and configuration:

It would be much appreciated if anyone can explain or share documentation why ports 34 and 35 are connected back-to-back on the switches and how is it supposed to be configured.

Also how to create vlan on the switches to allow traffic
