Performance issue with oracle function AP_INVOICES_PKG.GET_APPROVAL_STATUS

Hi Team, I am facing performance issue with the below function to fetch the Approval Status in Oracle custom reports under where clause condition we are comparing it with "APPROVED" status for filter criteria. This function is used in various reports causing performance issue.

Is there any alternative option to fetch the approval status. ?

I am using Oracle ebs 12.2.11 version and 19c database.
