Why is checkip.sh not checking new cell node admin network IPs, DNS entries?

I am attempting to update the configuration of an existing Exadata Database Machine rack, preparing to add 3 cell nodes. I downloaded and installed the February 2024 OEDA, went into the WebUI, imported the original XML file for the Exadata being upgraded, updated the necessary information, performed the Apply and Download step at the end. But when I run the checkip.sh script, for the new cell nodes it only checks their ILOM IP addresses and DNS entries.

ERROR : xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is responding to ping request
