Urgent - Need Clarification for Application migration documentation 2048954.1

Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2.11

Migrating EBS 12.2.11 from Solaris on Oracle SuperCluster to Linux on Oracle Private Cloud Appliance following Doc ID: Application Tier Platform Migration with Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2 (Doc ID 2048954.1)

 

We need to have clarified if Target Teckstack can be installed and Patched to Source System patchlevel BEFORE Source system is shutdown

 

Migration document 2048954.1 instructions are as follows:

 Section 1 - Step 11 : Shut down application tier services

Section 1 - Step 12 : Identify patchlevel on Source system - to be applied on Target

 Section 2 - Step 1 : Generate the customer-specific manifest

Section 2 - Step 2 : Copy $APPL_TOP $COMMON_TOP/clone and $COMMON_TOP/java from Source to Target
