How to escape from OTBI Reports ending in time-out.

I help Oracle Fusion GL users in my company. The user informed us that OTBI recentry started to exit with a timeout error. He says he's been using that OTBI for over a year and hasn't made any modifications. OTBI has 24 columns, all selected from the subject area General Ledger - Journal Realtime. He wants to retrieve journal line information entered in the ledger specified on a specific fiscal date. Target journal lines to be extracted are not so many. We tried this OTBI in a test environment and it took about an hour to complete. Does anyone know
