which method is better to expand zpool in a Solaris cluster LDOM

What is better way to expand a solaris 11.4 zpool inside a cluster LDOM. The zpool is running out of space so need to add storage space urgently. The set up is such that a direct single EMC SAN LUN is presented from the control domain to the LDOM in which the LDOM see it as e.g. c2dxx format. The zpool is from this c2dxx being created. Another cluster passive node also has access to this lun with similar setting.

Which one of the below method better and safer to increase the zpool ? Is there any document for reference ?
