Is it Possible to upload a off roster for specific time period?

Sample Scenario :-

Employee has a roster on 5th March (1900_1600). Which means his shift is 5th March 19:00 to 6th March 16:00. and as per user requirement now he want to upload off day roster for that employee on 6th March again.

We have done several attempts but however it shows the error message in log file "Shift is overlapping with another shift". We upload these rosters through Rest API. and the relevant JSON Code is as in below.
