Sales Orders without POs (to reserve date slot)

Hi all,

We are on 12.2.8. I wasn't sure how to title this question as sales order reservations are an actual form in Oracle. What I am referring to is the concept of a customer wanting to reserve a ship date from us without having a PO in hand yet. This is mainly due to how far out our lead times are and customers want to get an order on the books without waiting for PO approval at their company. At our company, we call these orders 'reservations'. I would imagine we aren't the only company who has customers that do this.
