Groovy for EPM- Essbase calc scripts Or learning EPM groovy who have better future?
In past few years I am working in Core coding on Essbase, Planning or EPCMCS, and finding EPM groovy scripting is quite on demand. Now for new Oracle EPM Batches trainees I suggest them to start with Groovy, not with Calc Scripts.
Wanted to know and discuss, on performance parameter which one will give better performance.
- Basic Calc script/Business rule with fix statements.
- Calc Script embedded into Groovy saving and executing on Run time.
- Purely Groovy functions scripts doing calculations?
As example below Groovy script can be written on all above 3 ways, which one will better performance?
