Not allowing to unapply the Credit Memo from the AR Invoice

Version: R12.2.6

we are getting error as “Field is protected against update “while trying to unapply the invoice from Credit memo. I have followed below way but no luck. Pls advice.

NP: Query the CM in the Transaction form.
Go to Actions -> Application.
