Top banner on MOSC webpage takes too much space

The top banner on each of the MOSC web pages that shows "Oracle Communities", search icon, bell, …, and then "Home", "Discussions", … is about 1 inch tall. More people are working on laptops these days. A typical laptop screen is 8 to 10 inches tall. This 1 inch banner takes away more than 10% of screen space. Could you make this banner scrollable as part of the webpage so it can disappear when we scroll the page up? Or if you think it's really important, could you make it less tall? Thank you!
