How do you add secondary jobs in PeopleSoft?

We use full position management and have multiple jobs. Ideally, we would like to be able to create a new employee Job record for an existing employee with a new record number using an action of Additional Job (ADL). We would also like to be able to terminate either employment Job record without terminating the other.

Add Additional Assignment feature retains the original organizational instance dates and can select the action of Additional Job (ADL) which is what we prefer. However, if you terminate the employee record of the original instance, it terminates all employment records.

Add Employment Instance does not retain the original organizational instance dates (we have to override Original Start Date and script updates for First and Last Start Dates) and only allows the action of Hire (HIR) (we have to go back and correct the action to ADL). However, we do like that you can terminate either employee record without terminating the other.
