remove a disk from a lvm in oracle linux 8.9

Hello team: I have a small problem, I have two disks associated with lvm /dev/ol/root. Due to a disk failure we decided to delete that disk from the server but the server starts in rescue mode.

  1. Is there a way to unlink that disk from my lvm?
  2. Since I've been exploring the action of: vgreduce --removemissing --force VG . but this action would remove the lvm root.
  3. Can this action be performed in the root directory?
