Cycle Count - Error 2566 Invalid Count Entry

Hello, I hope this message finds you well.

I am writing to seek clarification regarding the functionality of the Cycle Count feature rationale behind a scenario where certain items, despite existing physically in our warehouse, are not included in the Cycle Count list generated by the R41411 report. Upon attempting to manually include these items in the Cycle Count list and input their physical quantities, we encounter Error 2566 - Invalid Count Entry.

Upon consulting with Oracle support, I found an explanation informing this behavior aligns with the system's design, as discussed in BUG 10755597. The explanation provided suggests that if an item location record exists but was not captured during the creation of the Cycle Count Transaction (F4141) table by the select items for Cycle Count (R41411), the system will not permit users to add it manually. Instead, users are advised to either create a separate cycle count just for that item location or enter an inventory adjustment for the item location.

Howdy, Stranger!
