Fluid Position Management- Configurable Search with Custom View

Has anyone had success copying the delivered search rec POSITION_SRC_VW in order to add new fields. We want to be able to search and display results on last updated user id so we created a custom view that added the right fields and have configured the search to reference our new view.

Upon actually searching though in the manage position tile it blows up. Wanted to see if anyone has done this?
