How to delete old Absence Management Requests in Approvals Tile

We have some old Absence Management requests that routed to admin and are sitting in the Approvals tile. How can we clear these out? I don't see that these Absence approvals are available to manage in Workflow Inquiry, and if we simply deny the request an email goes out to the submitter which we do not want.
