REST Connector Array Output Can't be passed into Logic Extension

We are on tools release 9.2.8.1

I have created a REST connector and set the output to be an Array.

I have created a Logic Extensions with defined array as an input.

Although I can set the logic extension to iterate over the array from the REST connector, I can't assign the values from the connector array fields to the logic extension array fields.

What am I missing?
