Delete RD for a Version

How do I remove the Report Definition for a Batch Version?

Here is the scenario:

I have a batch version which is already associated with an RD.
You go to version detail and report definition and the RD is already associated.
But when I remove it from the box and click OK, it just still stays there.

I even tried check out and check in to remove the RD but still it stays.

How can we remove the RD from a batch version?
