Is there any API/Service that helps third party application to use Ship Units calculation logic?

in Oracle Transportation Management (MOSC) Question

We would like to know the Pallets required on booking a sales order from Oracle Order Management and another Custom Ordering Application.

We would like to explore if OTM functionality of calculating Ship Units and Pallets can be used by calling that Ship unit building logic via an API ?

Please let me know if this is feasible?
