Database Upgrade/Migrate 9i to 19c Solaris to Windows

Hi All,

We need to upgrade and migrate an old 9i DB which is currently on Solaris over to 19c on Windows 2019.

I think the best way to do this in going to be using the legacy EXP/IMP, as it handles the endian change with no extra steps, and just wanted to find out if there's anything in particular that I need to be aware of while doing this. I've found Doc ID 286775.1, should this contain everything I need?

The 9i DB is using the following character sets:

NLS_NCHAR_CHARACTERSET - AL16UTF16
NLS_CHARACTERSET - WE8MSWIN1252
