Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. Hi MOSC

For some reason we have to use the legacy Solaris volume manager in Solaris 11.4 by installing additional pkg → pkg install storage/svm

Created a metadb and then metainit a slice on a different LUN

#metadb and #metastat command were stuck and did not come back to the prompt.

How do I deal with this?
